VPN and Proxy Services
Both VPN and proxy services can allow businesses to add an additional layer of security to their internet connection. A VPN encrypts information, while a proxy masks IP addresses. Furthermore, VPN services can provide secure access to websites and applications from any location in the world, whereas proxy services only operate locally.
The VPN is an encrypted tunnel that connects you to the internet. It’s a secure connection which shields your information from hackers and other businesses while keeping you secure when using public WiFi networks. Premium VPN services offer multiple layers of encryption and they do not keep any logs. You can be assured that your data is secure.
A proxy is a proxy server that connects to sites and apps that you use online. The website or application you’re using will display the proxy server’s IP address not your own. This helps hide your identity and geographical location. A proxy can also be used to bypass the restrictions of a specific region on certain websites and content.
While you can utilize a VPN and a proxy, it’s not recommended. It’s an effort to set it up and it could slow your connection, without bringing any benefit. A proxy can also be monitored by third parties and used to monitor your internet activities. A premium VPN service will not be able of doing this, so you’ll need to opt for a paid proxy or VPN instead.
